What is a belt sander good for? - Miller Welding Discussion Forums

06-17-2008, 09:12 PM Got an ad for a 1" x 30" belt sander from Enco, thought maybe this would be a really useful tool (or toy!), and wondered what it is good for. I don't mean this sarcastically, maybe a better question is how is this kind of sander better than an angle grinder with a flap wheel, sanding wheel, or conditioning disc?
