We use 3/4" clean stone under footings all the time. As long as it's a small lift there are no worries. You can actually install 3/4" clear stone several feet thick with no worries about settling since it self consolidates. If you don't believe me, put 3/4" clear stone in a bucket and beat the tar out of it with a tamper.
